P0700 (in the ECM) means there is some other code set in the TCM (which is what actually caused your limp-in condition). You'd need to get that code in order to see what actually happened.
If it's running OK now, I wouldn't worry a whole lot about it. Maybe a momentary sensor problem or something. If you were in full limp-in (4th gear only), that was probably in response to some electrical issue (bad wiring connection somewhere, bad sensor reading, etc.).
Could it be my battery connectors they look pretty rough
