I am a big fan of Sea Foam, it has been around for many years and works very well. It can be had at most auto parts store. Besides adding to the fuel, you can add it (slowly and carefully to prevent vapor lock) to the intake, and add also to the oil prior to an oil change. Great stuff.

Default Fuel System Cleaner

I too use Sea Foam. I was having trouble with my IAC and took it to a mechanic about a month ago, who I had never used before. The IAC and throttle body was dirty causing idle problems. The mechanic cleaned the throttle body and got it to run better. I mentioned that I use Sea Foam, he told me I might as well pee in the tank. So I now have second thoughts about Sea Foam. I now have a bottle of Lucas carb and fuel injector cleaner in the tank. Will give that a try for a while.

"Might as well pee in the tank"??? That's a new one. Let me guess, he said it was snake oil. I've used Seafoam in many vehicles and a few boats. I wouldn't say it's a fix all/cure all, but it sure will help clean the pipes out a bit.

I'm a big fan of Lucas products, it's difficult to know if it really works but I feel that yes.

I'm a huge Seafoam advocate as I've shown on these boards many times.

Very recently, based on a friend's recommendation, I tried the item linked below over a single fuel tank in my Tahoe [55K] and am really liking it..... really!

You know, I saw that in the store yesterday. Seafoam was on sale for $7.99 a can and the RP was $12.99. I stocked up on the Seafoam, but next time I'm in there, I pick up a can of RP and give it a try.

I trust my Brother
he has been to a couple FORD schools
Then put himself through small engine school,
He also works on motorcycles, Harley Davidson, Yamaha, Kawasaki, etc.

He told me that the worst thing for all engines is Ethanol
it breaks down your gaskets, destroys the seals & tends to GUM up the fuel injection & everything else

He told me to start using SEA FOAM in my gas tank
it works better then STA-BIL ethanol treatment
