Default Plastic under seat covers??? advice please

Proud papa of a new 2013 express. It has the cloth seats and would love for them to stay looking beautiful. Soft... extremely comfy especially compaired to the 2011 challenger se seats that I had before this. My question is... would it do any type of damage to the original seats, if I put plastic on them and then soft seat covers over them? I don't want stains on them from spilled cokes or grease ect since I get pretty dirty at times being a mechanic. I have thought about the neoprene seat covers but my boss has those on his jeep and I must say I think they are kind of hard, stiff. I work hard and sweat a lot... and when I climb into the truck I want to sit on something soft and comfy.. .lol. Would the plastic cause a mold problem or damage the original seats ect? or should I go with the neoprene covers?

Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

p.s. Don't care for the leather... to hot.. hate to stick to them.

you could just scotchguard them well. cared for cloth seats are fairly resistant to stains.

baring that, a set of quality made-to-fit seatcovers sprayed with silicone waterproofing spray that they use on tents and leather and stuff might be the trick. they wont interfere with the comfort of the seats and will provide an extra layer of protection that you could remove and wash if they truly get nasty

Cover them any way you decide, now if you want soft and comfy look into sheepskin seat covers. Not cheap but very very comfortable and keeps the sweat off of you.

I got 1 of these seat covers, works well for dirt and sweat but not so soft. This worked for me.

Im not into seat covers per se, but i have seen some from Cabelas and i could def live with those. Very sturdy, stain resistant, they look cool, kinda an outfitter type look.
Worth checking out
