After my black Mustang, I swore I'd never own another one. Yet I just switched from a white sport to black limited.

I'm 3 weeks into owning it and have already washed it more than I did my white sport in 2 years.

It does look freaking good when it's clean though. I wanted Billet Silver. Pisses me off it's only offered on Jeeps.

Showing dirt and (especially) pollen is my biggest complaint about black cars. My buddies say it is too hot in Texas to own a black car. However, my truck is white and it is still stupid hot in the summer if you don't use remote start to cool it off.

I do think black looks awesome, though. Especially with the chrome wheels.

Last two vehicles were black. Never again. Shows dirt, scratches, chips, swirls, etc... Got a white sport now. Love it.

I had a black Durango and regardless of time spent on cleaning it, it looked the exact same just hours later.

Love the Electric Blue on my truck now, hides a lot of dirt and pollen on it.

Just got a Black Sport 3 weeks ago. It's damn pretty but impossible to keep dust free. Doesn't fit in my garage so the day after I wash it, it's already trashed. If you have a garage to keep it in, I say go for it. If not...white was the best color I've had that always looked good (except with snow salt in the winter).

If you don't have soft water, don't even think about a black truck. I have hard water and I spend more time drying than washing, and even then I've got freaking hard water spots all over everything.

Although I love the black I hate it,you soend 3 hours washing and waxing it by hand and 20 mins up the hwy its super dusty, in the winter it may as well be grey, it shows scratches sooooooo easily!!! My last truck was black and I should have known better, if they had a white one on the lot I would have bought the white but it was between black and copper and I didnt really want the copper. Black is beautiful when its clean but looks horrid when its not, which is about any time you leave your driveway

Silver or White are just about the easiest to look clean even when dirty. As long as you do not get a cleaned mark (ie someone wipes against it and kinda cleans part of it.) or you get red dirt or black mud on it. but general dirt is harder to see as long as it is evenly dirty.

This has been my first black truck. Agreed with all the comments above. Probably as annoying as the pollen / dirt are the finger prints. Kids ride with me and I get the finger prints.

However, ever since Back To The Future, I have always wanted a black truck! Now I got it. Will I get one again next time? Don't know now, but I would have regretted not getting this one while I was ordering.

Also, just got out of a white car. Wasn't too thrilled with that color either. It showed rock chips bad because the color underneath was black. Road rash showed bad. The best luck I have had in the past was grey (on an Acura) and brown. I would guess that red would work well too.
