What are the 3 letters down in the right corner by the Aux port
RES, REN, RBZ, RHB, RER, or RHR

the 2009 & newer Ram truck radios use a HIGH SPEED CAN BUS, not the low speed radio that most other Chrysler radios use, even if they have the same letters down in the corner

there are 2 different RES radios
RES 130s radio has the Phone Hard Key & the cheaper one RES 130 does Not have it

IF i recall correctly ....
Many of the MYGIG software/firmware versions are radio model specific
ie: like the software for the RBZ will not work in the RER radio, but the REN software/firmware works in the RER

BY the way, what may be a Bricked Radio

If by chance while doing an update, the radio locks up because you shut off the ignition during the process, the radio doesn't work & you can Not get out the CD, the key to making it start working again is to get the CD disc out

I have read that you can take a credit card & work it along the cd flip out panel, i will try to find the article
http://www.allpar.com/stereo/MyGIG-REN/

The way that i got mine out, i had removed the key fob during the process, i had a call of nature & could not wait any longer & i live in a bad area, i was not about to leave the fob in the ignition & the doors unlocked. Have a 2nd FOB with you if that may happen to you.
Anyway, the Heater controls are directly connected to the radio, i turned the key on, messed with every button in my Ram, opened & closed doors, opened & closed windows, etc.
Then i started messing with the Climate control buttons & BINGO the CD panel opened & the CD came out.
When my nerves settled back down, i grabbed my 2nd FOB & returned to trying again to update my radio, that time it worked perfectly.
Do NOT think the radio is finished updating until the radio screen itself tells you that it is done, the screen may black out like it is not doing anything, but it is working in the back ground

I had the 33.XX version in my truck and was just used to the blue screen and rams head image but I'm now seeing why the guys that had the older black screen loved it so much.... Seems to make the radio look more grown up and less cartoon like. I didn't realizing how annoying the blue screen and logo was until they were gone.
Most people seem to prefer the black background and I agree the black background looks better than light blue background. BUT...

What is all the BLURRY BLUE STREAKS in the background! I think that looks like CRAP. At first I thought my screen was messed up, but its only on the background screen. Generally, I like the new look, but that blurry smeary image in the background just seems like something when wrong.

Am I the only one that notices this?

Before and After pics.

I turned the brightness down so it would turn the background black and match my photo.

Just did this upgrade on mine and it did not go like the instructions. Was a little scary there for a minute, but it did complete successfully. Didn't disconnect the Lockpic, either. Much better looking than the blue.

Oh, and the new "camera delay" feature does not work with cameras connected to the Lockpick. Not V4 anyway.

Friend of mine brought this to my attention about software updates for the MYGig radio's and the ra4 and ra5 series.

Go to: navrepair . com / pages / download . They have a whole list for all the radios.

A little easier to get what you want from here over our present method, but still a big thanks to Sox for getting us started.

Can anybody help me? Same problem as guys told before: black screen, looping logo. #12 fuse disconnection doesn'd help for me. CD stocked in the tray. Can't eject it .(

I used to update my 2010 Dodge Ram with RHB and LockPick v5 (didn't disconnect it while upgrading).

P.S. used to have 20.02.01, updating to 50.00.07
