Default The REAL owners manual!!!

The one that comes with the vehicle is about 160 pages, and about 2/3 of it doesnt apply.....the one I just received, FREE, is ...wait for it...is 780 pages long!!!! and flippin thru it is...well..verrrrry interesting...every single system is described and explained in DETAIL....instructions for maintenance...yknow, the REAL book!!!I also requested, and received, something called a 5.0 UCONNECT supplement...42 pages by itself...(I suspect they exist for all other radios as well), and a separate 40 page Warranty Book....took lessn a week to get it....UPS too!!!....call CS and get you one!!!!!

For those that don't care about having a physical copy, this is the same one you get if you download from the ramtrucks site.

I did when i requested it, but i had NO clue i was going to get "War and Peace"...hehehhe call CS, and ask for the full manual as described on the back of that s/a dvd (in the fine print) or in the back of the comic manual that comes with the truck...you give em the usual name rank serial # thang, and they ship it UPS...be sure to ask for any radio/warranty/tire supplements as well...theyre available if you're interested...only precondition is that they require you to be the original owner, and i assume they check, but no one actually asked me....Given the performance of the VOTS system, and now the Incentive thang Im gonna get involved in, I think i couldve been the man in the moon and they would have sent the package...scuse me i got 372 hours of reading heheheh

my '09 came with a printed book, possibly it was the last year that they printed them & the were in the vehicle when it was sold to you

it is so much reading material, that i only go to the INDEX & look something up
in 5 years i don't think i have read 1/8th of the manual

Thats fine....for my money, it belongs where the vehicle is...grease, bugs and all..btw, had a pleasant conversation with em today (good grief thats like 4 in a row)...the actual tech manual hasnt been printed yet for the 2014...dealers and such have to refer to the online version, that we cant get at....i discovered this when i asked if there was anything special i needed to do to change the oil..(because the cartridge is UP instead of down)...and yes...you MUST remove the cartridge cap first, to allow the oil to drain into the sump, THEN drain the pan...and do NOT fill the cartridge....the email explanation I got came from SOMEWHERE, and it wasnt even in the 700 page thingie i just got..no oil change explanation whatsoever..just how to reset it....seems that a tech somewhere at RAM c/p it from his puter library....gal suggested that the actual 14 tech manual (which is NOT free) might not come out for another 6 months...I really wanted to know how the vehicle's OIL LIFE gauge knows Im switching to synthetic.....short answer...it probably wont....
