If you want info on a specific procedure (like changing the oil), check with your dealer. Yes, they can access the service information (service manual) online, and they should be able to either print you a copy of the specific procedure you need, or save it for you as a PDF. I would assume (if you just bought a new truck from them) that they would be happy to do that for you.

That's good advice for him but the service department people I have dealt with don't seem to know that even exists. They could have pointed me toward that instead of wasting my time and theirs checking on an issue I had that was explained in it.

I was talking to a RAM customer service fellow the other day when he asked me what I thought was a strange question--did I get the full manual when I picked up my truck? I did--he said that isn't always happening anymore I guess. I can't imagine getting a vehicle without one. Cost cutting I suppose. It is nice to have the electronic version too--you can do a key word search to find something a lot quicker than paging through an 8oo page manual.

Someday soon we'll probably see vehicles come like computers. Nothing printed--everything stuck in an on board computer system with a screen for you to view. I wouldn't be surprised if some higher end vehicles are there already.

coitnly did...redid the deal as far as Chrysler in concerned...the dealer gets the 1k, i get a check from the dealer...everything else stays the same...still smiling...but...ill smile even more when they put the $$ in my greasy lil palm...30 days the finance geek says...
