Does an aftermarket TB void any portion of the warranty?

It shouldn't but the dealer should also never even notice its there. If you are worried about it then change it back to the stock one before going in for service as it takes maybe 10 minutes to swap out.

I'm not sure it's worth the money you will spend. I have Moes ported 87mm on my 2013 and I'm not sure it's done much but hurt my low end performance off the line. one thing for sure, you have to port the intake manifold, which I have not done, to match the TB. If not then the intake becomes the next bottle neck. negating the benefits if any from 87mm ported 80mm. From what I have read the 80mm flows more cfm then your 5.7 can want at even 6000rpm. I have a Bully dog tuner the most you can set the rpm is 6000rpm Go with the CAI, exhaust, stall converter, and Valve body upgrades for real benefits first with a tuner. If I could do it over, I would get long tubes and muffler, Not true duels unless you are adding nitrous or supercharging, before any thought of ported TB and after a CIA. I wish I had it all figured out but engines and "reversion" can get real complex when modding your truck just my opinion..

I don't have one so I could be wrong but I thought the front side was ported to 87 and the back was closer to 85 which is what the opening is on the manifold or at least is on the 3rd gen.

As for the cfm air flow the idea is really to smooth out the drivability and throttle response. There isn't going to be any huge gains in power.

Firstly, you don't need to port match with any of the ported 85mm or 87mm TBs as none of them out there are ported behind the butterfly (with the exception of the Fastman 84mm true-bore), which means that the exit port diameter is still 80mm, and the truck's intake bore is actually 84mm.

When it comes to volume flow, yes the stock 80mm will support the need at high RPM, but a ported body is designed to increase intake velocity. Only a true-bore will increase volume flow.
