Default tuner and towing

I have been thinking about getting a tuner and 87mm throttle body for my 2012 hemi.
The thing thats been holding me back is how good are they towing? I have a 18 foot aluminum boat with outboards and I was wondering if I would need separate tune for towing and daily driving and what tuner should I get.
During the week I do mostly city driving so an economy tune would be useful. I do like to put my foot in it at times to pass slower vehicles so maybe some extra low end power would be good.
Does any of these tuners store like 3-4 custom settings that can accessed at a push of a button for towing, economy, towing and the dreaded factory tune for going back to get oil changes done at the dealers.
Many thanks in advance for your help.

Mac

Diablo has 3 stored canned within the tuner. Some other companies like HemiFever build on those & make their own tunes offering more adjustments. You could get Hemifever to make you a custom tow tune with your requirements.

I tow my 6200lbs travel trailer with the Bully Dog on regular tune and 91 octane. No issues. Got 10mpg on my recent Tennessee trip to the Smoky's while pulling it.

No tuners have a shift on the fly option, you have to retune different tunes while parked, takes 10-15 min.

I'm just reading about this towing/tune conflict now...
So I have to run a regular tune with higher octane gas when towing?
If I go ahead with an intune DCX I was going to ask Sean for an 89 custom tune. Would running 91 octane (our highest octane available everywhere up here) be sufficient to avoid ping/knock?
I pull out 7K travel trailer quite a bit in the summer, and don't want to be moving from one tune to another and back every time I tow.
Thanks!

I run a higher octane to be safe and because I want to. I run it all the time, not just for towing. My preference.

I have a custom 93 octane tune in my truck, its a straight up performance/race tune, I tow with it and have not had any problems. I do not tow long distance or big grades, so I would not advocate what I do, but I am very far from stock, so I have a little more leway than you stockish guys. When I was stock I always added higer octane while towing, it does help with knock especially in the heat.
