Very nice, clean install!

I understand the point of having DRL's in some locations. Especially in pouring rain or fog conditions (even though I think people need to be smart enough to turn their parking lights or headlights on in that situation) but in some conditions I don't agree with them being needed at all. I had mine disabled with my Bully Dog on my 1500 for the summer and in my old car I took the bulbs right out for the summer. I just don't see them being needed. If you can't see my big truck coming down the road you have a problem, not me. If it was rainy enough or light fog I would turn on my parking lights to make sure people could see me. That way the taillights come on as well. Anyways, just my two cents on this matter....

Having a grey truck I blend in pretty well. If I ever get in an accident I can at least say I had my lights on so they should have seen me. I'll take anything that adds a little bit of safety. It doesn't hurt to have them on, but it could to have them off.

Brandon,

Could you confirm for me please your statement that your Bully Dog was able to kill DRL's on a Canadian 2012 Ram.

I have been lead to believe this is impossible to achieve. Model of unit if you please as well.

Cheers,

bix

Yes, I had the Bully Dog GT for Hemi plus (40430) with the 3.4.2.1 A016 software and I was able to disable the DRL's with it. You have to go into special fuctions, disable the DRL's, and then exit from special functions before it will work. But after that I was able to turn them on and off whenever I felt like it (on the fly) just by changing the setting.

I concur, I presently am doing the same on my truck with the Bully Dog GT Hemi +
