Do you mean the grille off the truck? Or the grille shell off the inserts?

To get it off the truck there are 4 bolts along the top of the grille that you need to take out and then two clips at the bottom. To get those out you just pull forward.

To get the shell off the insert there are tons of clips that all have to be pried off with a screw driver until you can pull the insert out. Then to put it back together the shell just clips back on to the insert.

Yes there are a bunch of tabs around the insert that holds it on, Its a pain in the ass and a slow process, Go slowly and you will get them all apart.

Thanks, I have baja style bumpers being made and matching side steps. So hopefully within a month or so i should have those on.

Thanks about the CF, I did the front 2 doors which was a total pain in the ass. I painted the chrome and then cover the wood on the doors. Wasn't easy or fun.
