Default Rear Driver Side Door Destroyed

I was on my way to visit a friend in Sonora and stopped at a gas station for a quick drink. Normally I park at the back of the parking lot away from other cars but there weren't any spots. I should have parked at a pump, but I didn't want to be that guy who ties up a pump he isn't using.

I come back out and there is a huge scratch and small dent in my driver side rear door. More then a scratch more like a 1 foot by 1 foot collection of scrates dings and destruction. It looks like someone opened their door into my truck and then backed up with it still open.

I'm very frustrated, but in the end that's what insurance is for. The good news is since I was in Sonora and already had my first scratch I took my truck out 4 Wheeling on some old mining roads. Review on that to follow.

Many places have surveillance cameras these days. I'd check to see if by any chance the station had them.

Sorry to hear it.

Hopefully everything works out, but at least you had an excuse to go get her dirty!

Did you happen to notice anybody with a leather jacket with a bunch of chains on it? Maybe their clothing or purse scraped against your truck. 'Course the dent could have been from a front brush guard on another vehicle?

Could have been anything. I'll upload a pic later. No matter what it was it's annoying.

There are a lot of people out there with no respect for other peoples property. They don't seem to appreciate the hard work you put in to be able to buy that truck! You would think they would of at least waited and apologized for the accident whatever the cause! Hopefully it's a painless repair.

The worst part is, if they would have stayed I probably would have let them go and just taken care of it through my insurance. But it would have been nice to have someone show me a little respect. Probably some dumb teenager who panicked. Or at least thinking that's what happened makes me feel a little better.
