I'm assuming you mean the B-pillar tape.... I have a mineral grey Ram with them removed... not exactly silver but it will give you an idea of what it will look like.

You will definitely not regret taking it off. Looks so much better without it. Even more so in person.

How difficult was it to remove the tape? Did you have to use a heat gun or just gently pull? I had a 2001 Ram and one of the bed rail caps had to be replaced. They were secured with 3M tape and when the cap was removed; so did the paint. I almost freaked out! Fortunately, I replaced them with warranty issued parts. Hopefully the paint on the new Rams is bonded better than the old.

It's definitely a little hard on the fingers. But I didn't use any heat gun or anything like that. I just started on the top corner opposite the window and pulled that whole edge out towards the outside of the door. Then start pulling down from the top at a 45 degree angle towards the window (it makes it a lot easier to get the edge inside the window off) and just work your way down.

Once you have the vinyl off completely you just have to work the glue residue off. I used WD-40 and a terry towel. Took some elbow grease but I got all 4 done in about half an hour. Definitely worth the time and work.

same with my 11, no crap to work off...
tho there was the tiniest little piece of "tape" right at the bottom edge i never could dig out

imo, any color it's def. worth the time to remove it
do it soon tho, you want the whole truck to react to the elements equally....
