Exclamation Wierd A/C Recirculate Issue. Anyone else?

I have a 2013 Ram 1500 Express. One thing I noticed is that the recirculate seems to stay on all the time unless I press that button off and then on again. I know that if the temp control is turned all the way to the coldest setting, it turns on max a/c and puts it in recirc mode. But if I have the temp turned back a notch, the recirc stays on, even if the recirc light goes out! When this occurs, I have to press the recirc button on, then off again to get the vent out of recirc and back to drawing in outside air. And even when I get the system out of recirc, if I shut off the truck and then restart it, it goes right back to recirculate! (and the recirc light remains off!) What the heck? Anyone else have this issue? Am I missing something? Do I need to go back to the dealer? Other than this, the truck seems to be working fine, knock on wood.

I have very similar issues with my express crew. Mine happens when I turn the temp of ac up and then turn it back down. It's like it doesn't know that I've turned the ac back to a lower setting and shuts off the condensor fogging up the inside of the truck

Well I am glad to hear I am not the only one with this issue. It is not really a problem, more of an annoyance. I wonder if anyone has had the problem looked into and if so, was it fixed? If so, what fixed it?

You want recirculation to be on all the time. It is the most energy efficient method of chilling the cabin and saves wear on your A/C to boot.
Why have your A/C system work extra hard chilling very warm/humid outside air? Recirc will have an easier task cooling and removing humidity from already processed air.

Mine does the same thing. When running with AC I can hear the recirculation come on all by itself with no lights. A couple of times when driving without AC on I could tell AC had turned itself on, also without indicator lights!

Had it checked when in for service but technicians could't get an error code. Probably because it doesn't do it all the time.

I have the opposite problem,, mine will not stay on. I can push the recirc button with the a/c on low temp, turn the truck on and it is back off. No matter what I do it always turns off when I shut the truck off. The same thing happens with the vented seats, I can have it on full setting and when i turn the truck back on its on low. I will have the dealer check it on my next oil change.

Well, I found that if I get in my truck and turn the recirculate on and then off one time, it seems to work fine after that even with the max a/c control.
