Based on the fact that you can feel it and that in your photo you can actually see the depression, the repair is going to take more than a buffing. I'm pretty sure that it will have to be sanded flat and repainted repainted. When in the heck is Chrysler going to get decent paint on these Rams?

Fish eyes = poor prep or some Ahole touched it before it went to paint.

I would not repaint it for that defect. That's what it is going to take to fix it. I paint cars everyday and could do it for free. I would not repaint my truck for that.

After viewing your pic my issue was different and could be buffed out. I have read on other forums problems similar to mine and thought you were refering to the same thing. Like I said its hard to describe I wish I would have taken a photo of it. Good luck either way your warranty will cover this. Make sure if you haven't already to include this in your survey Ram sends to new owners and request a call back as I did. They called a week after and made sure the problem was fixed.

There's always the chance that repaint would come out worse than the original problem. Something to think about.

I've a one similar on my black SLT near my RamBox. I won't bother about it as I'm sure worse will happen soon enough. I just ordered everything to apply Opti Coat 2.0 to my truck.

Well guys I thought I would give you an update on my truck and the two fish eyes in the paint, I went to my dealerships body shop yesterday and he said they would both have to be repainted. He also said that he would have to separate the truck bed and maybe even remove the back window and roof seals, I don't know if I want to mess with all that. So now I have to decide if I want it done or not.. I'm 50/50 right now I kind of want to do it then a side of me thinks it's not worth it.. What do you guys think? Anyone have pictures of there truck after a repaint? A side of me wants to sell it back and get another truck! Prolly just my OCD kicking in but I might just live with it....

Also having the same round marks in the center of fenders & doors...actually suction cup marks from the factory I assume. Brought the truck back to the dealer (Armory Garage) never heard a thing back, that was three weeks ago. Body shop friend said to leave it alone as the factory had clear coated over it. Damn thing screwed up today as well with the radio/climate screen constantly trying to reset itself over and over. Only 3,000 miles
