Default Need help - ordering the weekend

Well hopefully ordering the weekend if I can get this all figured out.

Basically here it is 2012 Ram 1500 CC leveled.

I am looking at the 20x9 KMC Rockstar ii with a minus 12 offset. I believe this is correct if someone could confirm. Now for tire size

should I just be looking at like 33x12.5 or 35x12.5?

Originally I wanted a quiet AT tire that was good in winter and I was figuring the bfgoodrich A/T in 285/65/20 but this seems be a hard size to get.

I did search and honestly, I got a bit more confused don't know if its cause im currently back in school and that is taking up my time but if someone can help point me in proper directly would be greatly appreciated

Good good good.

That -12mm offset with a 35x12.5 will look GREAT. and it will fit no problem since you are leveled.

you are good to go. BFG AT are good, check out toyo A/T II

Omg i am almost going this route! Also leveled and am eyeballing rockstar 2 with -12 offset which is closest to 0 i believe... I want to lift too, but dont have the funds to do everything at once, but i would feel sick to buy a 33 inch tire before the lift for 6 inch lift woth 35" is my goal!! Go for it buddy! Need pics

if you are leveled you can get your 35s then move up to a lift when the time comes. But you are right, getting 33s now the planning to move up would just cost you more in the long run.

-12mm for most brands is the closest to 0. but it's a great stance for leveled/lifted trucks. some random styles you can get other negative offsets closer to 0. rare though

I would not recommend anything BfGoodrich. I have the BfGoodrich T/A's on my 2011 Ram 2500 4X4 with 18000 miles and they are weather checked something bad. BfGoodrich tells me it's only cosmetic but I don't have a warm fuzzy feeling at 55 mph with 3000lbs in the back. I wasn't very happy with their customer service either. From some of the research I did this is a very common problem with BfGoodrich. I just ordered new wheels and tires today. I went with the Toyo Open Country AT2. Just my thoughts.tires 038.jpg

I guess it depends on what you need out of your tire. I don't take my truck off the hard surface. I live in northwestern Pa and we can have some pretty bad winters. I live on a secondary road. I went with the AT2's to give me good bite but not a lot of road noise. This is the first time running them for me so I hope I made the right choice. The guys at Bully's Performance also told me that was the right choice for me too. Try them they may be able to help you out. Tell them what your plans are for your truck and see what they have too say.

It will depend on the width of the tire you go with but here's a shot of my truck sitting on 35x12.50 on a -12 offset wheel.

FWIW, the Hankook Dynapro is another nice, quiet A/T that handles well in the snow and wears really well.
