Default Can't remove plug

I have a heat tube around one of my plugs that seems to be closer near the bottom to my plug making it hard to get the plug socket on.I actually have to tap it on with a hammer but can't hardly loosen it because the socket is just binding against the tube.Any tricks to spread the tube at the bottom?Already shattered the white part of the plug and its nearly impossible to loosen this way.

Get a pair of vice grips and remove the tube.

Exactly. You can also tap the tube with a small hammer to help loosen it. They are just rolled metal pieces that are inserted and held in under mild compression. You can spray some lube to help loosen any rust of corrosion. Use high quality silicone plug wires and there's no need for those tubes. The Mopar smallblock existed for a quarter century before those stupid tubes were used.

Exactly...it's just a tin metal exterior roll pin. For lack of a better term.

get some PB blaster and spray it in there grab a vice grip and pull out the sleeve. that should do the trick. if you want to keep them in there put a little motor oil on the outside of the socket and slide it in there it will keep it from binding up against that sleeve
