Default hood release not working

Can't get my hood open, release cable is not broken and is not tight. How do I get it open ??

Default

Get you a pair of channel locks, or preferably vice grips, find where the cable comes in to the cab at the fire wall, put your vice grips on it, tightly, and give it a good tug. That should open the hood up.
