Had a custom grind from Stu at Inertia Motorsports, one of the most knowledgeable guys around when it comes to the hemi engine. If you tow or just want more low end the Comp 260 is the best, and for better all around performance the Comp 268 is great. The 273 is really for the guy that revs stupid high RPM with a high stall converter and launches above 3200+ at the track, it's a top-end cam.

I would recommend dropping the throttle body spacer as it doesn't do anything but make that annoying whistle. What size BBK throttle body are you running, 85mm? If you want a good gain in performance then look at ported heads and cam, or even better, swap to ported Eagle (09+) heads as the stock form outflows even ported non-eagle heads.

Thumbs up

hey thanks,
yes when i bought my truck a couple months ago the guy had already put on an 85 mm BBK throttle body and cold air intake and shorty headers but its doesn't feel like anything overly productive has been done to my truck.
all im really looking for is better fuel economy and the next time i go to the lake towing my small boat there is not as much pull on the engine.

If you don't have a programmer, you're wasting your time with a lot of these mods as the computer isn't able to make enough adjustments on its own to really use the added airflow. A diablo predator/intune/trinity with a custom tune is a must, especially if you're planning a cam. Adding a programmer will give you more power, and in most cases (as long as you stay off the skinny pedal) you're truck will run more efficiently and improve MPGs.

also find out what gearing you have and think about upgrading them..looks like you have a qc, if your considering cammin, stick with a tq cam like the comp 260, sidewinder, inertia's crazy jay or spartan cam...
