Default 3.92 gear and 37s

hello everyone i'm undecidied weather to run 37s or 35s. my truck 3.92 rear w lsd. 8spd hemi. Are the 37s that much harder on the drive train. will 35s be better? I know warranty with chrysler will be an issue of course, but i have noticed that their mopar lift kits recommed max tire of 35.
if i go to 37 i just may swap my gears to 4.10s. although not much difference from 3.92.

how large a tire size can the dealer reprogram the pcm for?

If you go to 37's, you might want to look into a taller ratio such as a 4.56:1. Dealers can't program a tire size over stock, so you'll want to pick up a tuner than can do it.

thing that sucks is i have the ZF rear axle, only oem ratio available is 4.10 from the r/t rams, which they dont even come with it anymore since the intro of the 8 speed. I don't think there is an aftermarket alternative for the zf rear axle.

I haven't kept up with the aftermarket for the ZF, but I was hoping. The difference between 3.91 and 4.1 is so minimal, that I doubt it would be worth the expense.

3.92s with 37s is doable. itll just feel like more of a truck than a fast truck haha. Plus a little more wear and tear on the tranny.

As for getting 4.56 in there the rear would need to be machined to fit the older gear sizes. If you have 4x4 the front diff would need to be switched out to 2010 diff.

I'm running 35's with 4.56 gears... and I WISH I had 4.88 gears!

Unless you're DD'ing it on the interstate a lot, get LOWER gears - especially if you plan to offroad it!!!

the price for OEM rear ZF 4.10 is 700 at Moes. Plus 300 for front. It is definitely not worth it.

Dam that RAM ALTITUDE EDITION is sick thats sweet. i never heard about rocky ridge upfit like that. How did it affect your powertrain warranty? How does it feel with 3.55 and the 37s. Which 37s are you running? 8 speed?
