Default 1st warranty issue

Drivers front shock leaking on 2012- 1500-big horn-4x4, 16 months in use with less than 12,000 miles on it. No off roading and my wife and I drive it like a car. Except that every once in a while I will wake up the beast under the hood. Dealer has to order new shock, the tech didnt say that this was a common issue. Has anyone had any warranty issues with the shocks ???

When my truck was new, I had my dealer upgrade my shocks to Rancho 9000's. Now with 195,000 miles, they are still awesome. I run em cranked to max. But I tow heavy trailers and often haul heavy loads in the bed. Ram tries to give you a soft cushy ride, as do all the truck makers.

I just changed my winter tires this weekend and noticed a lot of oil like substance on my front passenger shock, but it's been rust proofed with krown twice now so I'm not 100% sure it's leaking. However I'd bet it is. I am waiting on Bilsteins or else I would take it in for a new shock.

I have just over 11,000 miles, my wife drives a few miles to work everyday and I haul a snowmobile trailer on the weekend in the winter, not abused by any stretch of the imagination!

I had my right front shock replaced around 16K due to leaking. Have 28K now and that has been the only warranty issue to date.

It's common. They're junk. I had both mine done on my 09 just before warranty was up. Next step will be bilsteins

Factory shocks are on back order, and so are my Bilsteins, which my dealer will not install instead of the factory mopar shocks.

I just replaced mine this weekend, at about 8,000 my pass side broke, dealer changed both,,, then around 20,000 it broke again,, so this time I bought a set of monroe replacements,,it was complete shock and coil,, when I first put them in truck rode great but that only lasted about 10,000 miles.
So this past week I picked up a set of Bilsteins 4600 and I still had the Oem assembly so I used the coil and added the shock,, ony time will tell,,, I hope its the last time.. the dealer did tell that I wasn't the only one who has had problem,,,,,

I've had my front shocks replaced as well at maybe 15k miles. Weren't leaking, but were squeaking bad.

When the lift goes on, Bils are going in.
