Default Add camera and brake controller

This is my first post of many more to come im sure, I am wondering if it's possible to add the mopar back up camera and brake controller in my 13 sport ? I know aftermarket parts are cheaper but trust OEM parts much more. Has anyone else done this? How much were the parts? And finally, did you do the install yourself? Not towing a camper, just a full size utv on a car trailer. ... Any input would be greatly appreciated. ...

RAM ON EVERYBODY !!!!!

There is no current way to add the OEM camera. The only way to get the OEM camera setup is it has to come installed from the factory. Your only option is aftermarket. Not sure about the brake controller. Someone should be along to tell you if that is possible.

OEM Camera and tailgate handle. Aftermarket wiring harness' I believe. There are write ups on another forum.
I don't know what is needed for the brake control

You will need dealer to add a sales code and flash your computer on the truck for the camera to work

I recall seeing a thread in the 2013 forum of a member that added the rear OEM camera and documented the entire process, part numbers, etc. It was an older thread, maybe the middle of last year.

Try this thread:

I would think that the type of radio might come into play also
RA2 5" or one of the 8.4" radios
with the RA1 3" you would have to use a special rear view mirror with monitor

If he has a Sport, it's either the 8.4A or 8.4AN, so that should make things a little more simple.

Because this is your first post and you have a copperhead pearl truck (like mine)....I have to add this.

That would be jeepguy. At the time he had to make a harness from scratch and it never worked out. The thread has been moved to The Abyss.

Now with the harness BlkXpress25 found for $94 + S&H, the OEM camera from Amazon for $75 + S&H and a dealer flash for $50-$100 this can be done quickly and relatively cheap.
