Default Adding 540's, wanna use oem switch/wiring

I'm swapping my OEM plastic bumper with a new Boondock Off Road bumper and need to install PIAA 540's (55W) in the 5" cutouts. Since I'll be removing the existing fogs I'd like to be able to use the existing switch/dial and/or wiring on my truck. Anybody know if this is possible or have some insight? Id hate to lose the functionality of the OEM set-up. I'm sure the wiring will need to be swapped, any help is greatly appreciated.

You will have no problem in using the original wiring and OEM Setup, you can instead of cutting into the wiring just get a wire harness from retrosolutions and connect it up to your new PIAA lights, the relay of the harness will get triggered when turning on the Fog lamps via the dash switch, since its a harness with a relay you will be juicing your new lights via the battery itself. Later on since your direct to the battery you will be able to tie in more lights if you want. No strain on the anything this way and you wont have to cut into the trucks original wiring. Think its like 16$ for a wire harness. If you have more questions you can always PM me.

Thanks for the great response. I have the original PIAA harness/switch/etc.... do I get this other harness in place of the PIAA one? Again--Thanks.

No, no need of another harness, just either cut into one of the fog light wires as your trigger, or get a male plug to link the PIAA harness to the female plug off the truck. On the passenger side, tape up the now unused plug to protect it and tuck it away.
