Default 430 RBZ update success for version 50 on two vehicles!

I followed this thread to the software updates and based on the TSB, performed the following steps:

1. Burn update ISO using ISO burner.
2. Key On (not ACC), radio off, a/c off.
3. Load disc, wait for prompts. Hit Yes to update, Yes to update baseline files.
4. Wait for reboot prompt, then reboot.
5. Remove disc and verify unit works.

I discovered that I have 430 RBZ & version 20 on my RAM 1500 (I also have U-connect). Performed update 33 using the above procedure and was successful. Then performed update 50 using the above procedure and was also successful.

So then, a Dodge Town & Country owner asks me what I am doing and why I'm so happy - so I tell him that I am updated my MediaCenter 430 in my truck. Well whatdya know - he has a 430 RBZ with version 20 without U-Connect. So I give him the discs and the above procedure and he updates his successfully to version 33, then version 50.

Thanks everyone for sharing the knowledge! I like to black background, camera delay, and the ability to add favorites for MP3's!

I just did this as well. Burned the two discs and followed the TSB. It took a bit longer than I thought (30-35 minutes), but it was well worth it! Love the new look!

What is an ISO burner? I ahve downloaded the files and they are ZIP files. Will that work or do I need to extract them?

Check this thread out for your 730N
http://www.ramforumz.com/showthread.php?t=153117
Includes updates for the software (update to 2.184) and Gracenotes (update to 5411)

Both of these updates are for the RHR.. I'm not sure if there is more than one designator for our 730N so be sure to verify your radio code (lower right corner on the head unit).

did both updates. looks great.
but when i used 50.xx.xx disc for update, it said that "PND was not updated" when it tried to update nav.

looks great and works fine.

what is PND and is it needed?

Did mine also, now if I could only figure out were the map data is stored. I wouldn't even mind removing the harddrive if I was certain it is on there.

If you figure out the software let me know I think their is a ton of potential in the radio. But it needs to be able to be tweeted and hacked.
