Hmm -- not cool. I think SCT has done this for years on their Ford tuners. I don't think the cost was that high to unlock though.

I can verify this as truth as I bought the tuner used that started the post here.....and to top it off it took me 11 emails and 7 phone calls along with the 250 to get it to work. And I'd still be waiting had I not slammed them about telling me it was "ford" day and that I'd have to wait till Thursday to add the new part numbers to make mine work....(which still took four uploads and them taking remote control of my tuner through my Mac.). Also had I know the issues with this tuner and Mac I'd have never bought it, what a joke it is...we call them and give them the rolling part numbers to get into the dodge computer and they profit from sending us a non plug and play unit. 7 hours to get it to work on my truck

Looks like the market for a used BD Hemi plus just went down by $250...

DiabloSport Trinity T-1000 is where its at.

Sorry to hear for all you BD owners though. Does this mean that you can't Return your truck to stock and then re-tune say, when you go to a dealer for service? If so, thats so effed up.

yes you can return to stock and then retune, you just can't go to another vehicle if its not un linked from the current truck.

WOW! BD has some balls doing that to their customers! I'll tell everyone I can think of (on here or otherwise) NOT to buy from them. That's just bad business.

This reminds me of what Microsoft tried to do with the used video game industry and their new Xbox One. Not allowing games to be played on other consoles except for the first one the game is put in. Which means no taking a game you like to a friends house to share and no trading games in or re selling them (to a GameStop store or something of the like). The people got so much in an uproar about it that Microsoft changed their policy a couple months ago to because Sony DIDN'T have this policy and they Microsoft was taking heavy backlash. Most of it has died down now and more people will be buying the Microsoft product now, than they were 3 months ago.

I feel like if we make enough noise, on this forum and others, and get BD to take notice of it things may change. If not, well Diablo is going to love all the new customers they will be getting because they actually know what they are doing as opposed to BD being a money hungry business.

Just my thoughts...

I have started emailing one of the sales guys Lyle.R@bullydog.com the links to these threads, he actually asked that because he was unhappy with the decision from his employers to implement that policy. If you see anything I would not be shy to send him the links
