I bought it in Oregon and brought it back to CA where I live now. Got it from a dealer and am needing to smog and register it soon. I'm curious what you California guys are doing to pass smog?
They gave me the stock egr, nox and dpf but no cat and no connecting hose to the egr. Do I absolutely need every component when taking it to a smog shop? Should my mini maxx be unplugged?
I also have an S&B CAI that I want to install but am assuming it won't pass a smog check? I'm from Arizona so have never had to worry about emissions and am new to the diesel world. Any help is greatly appreciated
It needs to be 100% emissions complete I believe. The Minimaxx and intake HAVE to be remove unless they have a CARB EO# the mini DOES NOT but the intake might. it might behoove you to register it in Arizona! the exhaust has 3 emissions components, the NOX filter(in the downpipe) the DPF and then the CAT. i was quoted $6K to put my truck back to stock(just the DPF/CAT!) so you are looking at a pretty penny just in parts!
