Default OEM Towing Mirrors

So I bought my truck with only 7000 miles on it and it has everything I want on it, including the Sport package. Unfortunately for me, the guy who ordered it before ordered it with towing mirrors. They are power and heated and have the nice LED puddle lights and also turn signals in the mirrors. I want to have the sport mirrors.

I looked online to see if I could find any, and found a pair but they were like $350 each. Not spending $700 on mirrors. Checked with the dealer and they said you have to switch out a module in the door when changing the mirrors so if I was to swap them with someone I would need to swap the module as well.

Does anyone on here with a Sport model have an interest in the factory towing mirrors? I would like to trade mirrors with anyone that does have the sport mirrors, regardless of color. I can get them painted later.

Thanks,

Dustin

Your SLT has the textured black mirrors. Sport models have he painted black mirrors which is what I believe the OP is looking for. They are different....

Mirrors are interchangeable between all '13 1500, 2500, and 3500's, but not 09-12 mirrors. That's where the problem is. In 2013 the outside air temp sensor was moved to the side mirror so a 2013 needs mirrors from another 2013 truck.

I agree with all of the above posters. Thank you for your response though. I find that it may be nearly impossible to switch out the tow mirrors for the sport mirrors unless I buy the sport mirrors and the modules myself which would cost a bundle. I guess I will just have to get used to reaching my arm out and folding them in myself. Horrible Ram. Horrible.

even if you switch out the mirrors and module, they still wont be able to power fold... unless someone has figured this out since the last time i looked into this.

That's good info to know. Dodge has made everything so damn difficult to switch out that I now regret getting one. I like all the fancy lights and switches and such, but it seems like they are losing out on the opportunity for Ram owners to upgrade and spend money in the process. In my case, I am downgrading. The tow mirrors were an additional option according the the window sticker.
