Default What direction to take my Ram

Hey folks, I'm having trouble figuring out what direction to take my truck so I went ahead and made a poll about it. I want to respect my trucks stock look and feel because it's the "responsible thing to do", but I keep thinking I'd like to throw a RIPP S/C on it, sport lower it and make it a street machine, or raise it up and turn it into one of those Ram Runner clones which are totally badass and hurt my gas mileage, but it's my DD and I can't figure out which way to go with it.

note the truck is a 2WD not a 4WD!

I'm one of those people who believes trucks should always sit high and be able to go offroad whenever it is needed. So I am voting Baja style. I just never got into the lowered truck scene.

Thanks, just so everyone knows it won't be "slammed" would be like a 2/4 drop.

if your truck is a 4x4... go baja style
if it's 2 wheel drive, go with the 2/4 drop

I agree if you are doing a 6"

But a 4" lifted 2wd with fiberworx fenders and a Prerunner bar would look good

Throwing aside opinions on looks and going towards functionality I'd go with the lowered truck. These Rams sit pretty high these days so a 2-4 drop brings it back down to heights trucks were in the 80s. They worked fine at those heights.

If you never off road you have to suffer through the inefficiencies of lifted trucks and never see it's benefits. If you do off road a full size truck is not a very good off road vehicle. You're better off spending the money on an off road only Jeep. That way if you flip it you're not pulling your hair out.

Being a express model 2wd I think it look good a little lower with the s/c. If it was a 4x4 or a big horn like mine I would have voted baja. I have seen express and sport 2wd rams with just the rear leveled with 22" srt 10 wheel and though they looked great.
