Default New to Me 2008 Ram

Hey folks. Just got rid of a 03 F250 Turbo diesel (the bad one) that was draggin me down, big time. Took a real dive on trade in but am very happy with my 92000 km 1500.
I did, however, get a check engine light the other day, had it checked and it showed an egr code. They did give me a three month powertrain warranty and it was booked to check it out but now the light has gone off. So, I cancelled. Any thoughts on this anyone? What if it is the start of an erg failure and I let the warranty run out?

My new baby!

No big deal, you just buy a $40 EGR from rockauto. Problem solved. Takes about 10-15min to install.

K Thanks for that. I guess I would need a reader if I wanted to clear the error code?

Yes, you can just take it to Autozone and let them do it.
FWIW, I bought a scan tool at Harbor Freight for $100 and it works good. It'll pull transmission codes also.

K. Next problem. Bought the used cap after purchase. Interior and exterior lights were wratched. Replaced with new leds from a local canopy company. Trying to figure out how to wire them. Searched form 2008 Ram 1500 wiring diagrams and have come up short. My venture to old posted links seems to bring me to dead ends. Click on this and nothing happens. I have purchased the simple four pin connector and all I really need is a simple wiring diagram with correct colour codes for this year/model. Don't want to wire the cap brake to the left brake light because apparently I get signal too?

OK. Scratch that. Seems I got everything I needed by Googling Haynes Manuals and taking out a one year sub for this truck. And there it is. The simple wiring diagram I was looking for.
