Default Turning on and Off

While I was trying to connect my battery back up the positive end would spark while I was trying to connect it and about a second after the truck would start with no key in the ignition at all. and I would have to crank the key in back and forth to turn it off! And it happened over and over while I was trying to put the positive back on. I don't know if this is something I should be concerned about but twice today the truck has turned off while i'm turning the wheel completely which is definitely something to worry about so any knowledge would be appreciated I just bought this truck yesterday

Sounds like the switch in your steering column has gone kapoot. Fairly easy and inexpensive item to swap out. Here's a good thread on it.

Next time disconnect negative first then positive terminal.....then to reconnect the batter hook up POSITIVE first then NEGATIVE....

It is done this way to prevent electrical surges from happening and frying components
