Yes you do have to unplug and replug it every time you start the truck guess its a safety feature, I think it's after a certain amount if time it turns itself off if not being used

Mine has been that way since the beginning with power only USB. I thought that it had quit working at first since I left the cable connected...now it's just routine to unplug and plug it back every time I restart the truck. As long as I leave the phone connected to it I don't have to do that...weird issue. It works fine with the other USB port.

I had no problems with ios7 on my iphone 4, but I just picked a 5s and its really a mess. Had to re-pair about 5 times just to get the phone to work. Bluetooth streaming doesnt woth 95% of the time (says no device connected but the phone says connected), even using the cable with the 5s it locks up and it wouldnt play a USB memory stick until I did a soft reboot. Also if you make a call the bluetooth streaming quits and so far the only fix is to shut the truck off and restart.

Knowing Chrysler everything will be fixed when IOS 8 and the iphone 6 comes out lol, FWIW no issues with the 5S and IOS7 using the bluetooth on my '11 BMW or 2 year old Clarion marine radio, neither of which has ever had any updates..

I had a iPhone 4 for a couple of days with iOS7 and it still worked. Up graded to the 5s Saturday though and it works great also. I could not believe i could use Siri though the truck radio.
