Default Seat and interior upgrades

Hello! I've posted before about what seats work from when in an interior swap and appreciated the response. You guys are great. Unfortunately, I'm not finding much locally, which is surprising considering I'm east of Houston. There is a possibility I don't know where I'm looking, but I don't know where the yards are either.

So, this leads me to my question... the interior in my truck is ok, but the seats are pretty uncomfortable. It seems like the padding in them is just poor. They were already a bit flat when I got the truck... and my 6'5" 290lbs pound frame hasn't been very easy on them since. My co-worker has a King Ranch F250, and it's damn comfortable. I have found a set of Long Horn seats here and there... but do not want to spend 2-3K on seats.

What are the best option? Are there any covers out there that you could recommend that offer better padding or comfort?

Also... are there any wood steering wheel options out there or trucks I should look for with them in it? Any other suggestions to class up the interior a bit?

Thanks in advance.

I have heard the 06+ seat foam is thinner/lesser quality/whatever than the 02-05's. Regardless this post is helpful; I did this and it helps alot.

Thank you very much! That at least gives me something to do in the meantime. My driver seat foam has definitely failed!

The other thing you can always look into is buying a set of 4th gen front seat to swap, the fronts seats are a direct bolt in swap minus the electrical connection for the power seat functions. but you could always take the plug of the factory seat and rewire the pins into it. The cloth/vinyl seats to me are much more comfy than the 06+ seats and it would look pretty cool if you do an ebay search you can find some full front seat rather it be the 40/20/40 or bucket set for 500-1000 and 3000ish if you want to go leather

Many thanks to the link above. I actually started to do a writeup on how to take the seats out... but I have only ended up with more questions and need more info before I do something like that properly.

In the writeup above... the lower seat foam doesn't look at all like what's pictured. Also, there were none of the metal burs that were mentioned either. I did still add burlap and glue foam to the frame that way with some 300 locktite adhesive (that shit's awesome, btw)

Is it possible that there is a fleet seat or something to that effect? Mine are tagged "YES essentials"

i have the yes essentials seats in my 07 power wagon and they are all great except the drivers. that one the middle foam is junk. it puts so much pressure on the sides of my legs after 10 mins it hurts like hell. im interested to see what you do for replacing your seats. keep us informed. i want to get better front seats in my truck.
