I have a 2012 lariat Ecoboost that I am trading in on a 2014 Laramie. In fact I made the order today. I traded the Ecoboost because I bought a lemon. Ford had to pay me quite a lot of money to settle. It was a beautiful truck That I wish would have worked out, but Ford tried to screw me at every corner. They didn't hold up well to my lawyers. I have driven all of the new 2014 from GMC, Ford, Chevy and Dodge and as it sits right now I like the dodge well enough to place my order.

I came out of a 2011 Ford F-150 with the Ecoboost and the Ram 1500 with the Hemi and 8 speed transmission in my opinion is a better powertrain. My city fuel economy with the Ecoboost was horrible. The F-150 ended up going back to Ford due to unresolved problems. I considered buying an F-150 with the 5.0L engine after the 2011 went back but then I drove a Hemi 8 speed and the choice was obvious for me. I can't wait for my Ram to arrive next week.

Congrats on your decision Bugguy. I know you'll have no regrets with your decision to drive a new Ram this time around.

2012 Ram 2500 diesel replaced 2006 F-350, went with Ram only because ford dropped manual transmission for new hd, like ford design better but being old school pushed me toward Ram. I do enjoy my dodge but it feel more like a toy than truck, Ford is more comfortable (test drove 2012 f250 - did not like automatic ). I don't regret my decision, but if Ford come back to stick (or Ram discontinue that option) for next truck will probably have me back.

Well, not a Ford guy, but I've owned Toyotas, and a few Mazdas (Ford Rangers) since 1974. Maybe I've been lucky, but my 05 Ram has been the best vehicle that I've ever owned. I'm even impressed with the hemi's economy. I've only owned 1 truck, a 4 cyl Tacoma 4x4, that got better economy, but unfortunately, it had a bad motor, yep, even Toyota screws up. I always thought Rams were the best looking, after owning one, I believe they are flat out better trucks than the other guys.BTW, my brother drives Super Duties, my dad GMC's. Not for me. Ram.

I have only owned one Ford - it was a great truck. I have driven several for work. I've only had this RAM for four days but it is blowing my mind! Might be my favorite vehicle ever. I did a LOT of research and did a lot of test drives, I say by the RAM! But this is a very recent development (for me). Up until a couple of years ago I would have said buy the Ford for sure. But now, RAM baby!

I've owned Chevy, ford and dodge. All have had good and not so good era's. your timing is good. Dodge is building one heck of a good truck right now. Build quality is right up there and especially the Laramie and above interiors are unsurpassed by the comp right now. I don't think you'll second guess the decision after you take delivery.
