As I've seen a lot on this forum, and many others, is folks spending 2-3k on bolt-ons, only to have very limited results and be disappointed with their cars. I'm just stating what really works for the money, regardless of warranty. IMO a warranty is important, but when you finance the 3k you'll be paying for it way after the 3yr 30k is up. If you have an extended warranty like me, just get a different vehicle and have fun with it, or just go out there and watch the others spend their money on go fast stuff.

Hi All,

I had a 69' Bee and Scat Pack was a bit more than just a club membership there were some defined hardware differences between the cars that were part of the Scat Pack and those that were not. Most of the true muscle machines were scat pack and the Bumble Bee was the sticker that was found on the tail of every Super Bee. Which BTW stood for B body B engine, thus Super Bee.

I am glad that Chrysler has been very careful not to defame the famous names from the 60's. This sounds like a real modern hot rod package, and if Chrysler holds true to their tradition it will give serious enhancements to performance. As it was told me back in the day horsepower is made in the heads, reliability in the block.

preachp, I hope you're right, I feel all of the other parts in the package included should get beefed up as well, like the trans and the rear end, including the gear ratio and limited slip. The Chrysler Corp. could definitely use a boost in the reputation department.

The 8-speed trans they're using is the 'upgraded' ZF designed to handle ~600lb-ft and it should already have the getrac rear end like the SRT8s. With the 8 speed the cars do very well with a 3.31 or lower rear, anything higher and it's almost always a dedicated race vehicle, and that's where you'd be looking at investing in a Drag Pack.

I think why CryCo needs to do is seriously put the cars on a diet. The mustang makes comparable power but is almost 1000lbs lighter.

Well, before I drove a RAM, I had an 08 Mustang GT, an 04 Cobra, and then an 09 Subaru WRX, two with 300 whp, and one with 460 whp (Cobra), and they all moved out pretty good. I honestly think the diet plan is the absolute best plan for any performance vehicle, period!
