Question 2013 5.7 Oil Change - How To

I am the type to do my own oil changes, so when it came time for a change, I needed some info, especially on where my oil filter was! This forum helped me find it, now I want to expand and show everyone else with pictures.

Filter is located on the passenger side of block, very low down. The best way to access both the filter and oil sump plug was to remove the passenger side tire. The picture shows the easiest way to access filter, I used a medium sized filter wrench with a bendable handle, to adjust the angle. Ziploc bag around filter while removing, saves on clean up.

Any tips on how to load larger images would be great!

Thank you for the photos. I have never removed the front passenger side tire.

I didn't want to... but there was no way I could get filter out from the top, and bottom access was blocked too. Removing the tire made it soooooo easy. I'll probably do it everytime. Didn't even have to get dirty sliding in and out from under the truck!
