When I was in Highschool my buddy had a little 4x4 s10 that was lifted, and he could embarrass some of the full size guys when we would "Drop chains" as we would call it.

The trick is all in the leverage/traction. Usually who ever has the stickier tires will win. Also if you can hook the rope to your truck at a higher location than he can hook to his, you have a slight advantage; the force from the rope going from the high point to the lower point will pull the back end of the high truck down, thus giving more traction, meanwhile lifting the rear end of the lower truck, thus losing traction. We would accomplish this by using an adjustable hitch, and pudding the D ring as high as possible. If you can throw some extra weight in the bed, obviously that would help. Also dont just mash on the gas, ease into it. Mashing usually means loss of traction.

Yep, we had it to a science. Haha

I had an 03 trail blazer. Piece of junk! Tell him you'll challenge him only if the tether is attached to the doors. The trail blazers doors are not attached with bolts. They are glued on. My door became detached one day when I opened it in windy weather.

I might just try that. He has a GTO as well the Trail Blazer is just his snow day car so I don't think he's all that concerned with anything but 4WD in it.

This proves nothing but how stupid you can be.

A true test would be to load a trailer with 1ton of gravel and who can pull it up a 70% grade with the fastest time.

I don't think either one is pulling a ton of anything up a 70% grade.

done it with my 2013 1500.

mind you, you can't start from a dead stop at the bottom. That would be impossible.

You will need at least 1/2 KM run doing about 80km/hr. That's what I was doing when I towed about 1 ton of gravel up a 70% grade hill. By the time I hit the top I was doing 5KM/hr which was ok since there was a stop sign right at the top. I was at about 7500RPM 3/4 up.

This would be a real test compared to the tug-o-war method which proves nothing except who can get the best traction.
