Default 2009 Trouble with wireless igition node

2009 Trouble with wireless ignition node
My friend has a 2009 RAM 2500 with a soft touch pear-shaped ignition key. Has a hidden-typical key in buy of his Integrated Ignition key.

Recently it was brought to my attention that the following happened in chronological order.
  • Early Summer, vehicle sat for 2 weeks unused.
  • First 3 start attempts, key/fob 1 failed to be recognized. Pull Negative battery cable, wait 2 minutes. Re-attach neg. battery cable, vehicle starts on first attempt.
  • Next day key/fob 1 Remote keyless Entry (RKE) functions fail to unlock doors/panic. Still starts engine.
  • unknown time gap.
  • Key-in ignition sense fails, cluster claims key is always in actche.a week or 2 pass, key/fob 2 RKE functions fail, still starts engine.
  • Take to stealership, dealer claims to have replaced the 2032 clock batteries in fobs
  • Today, noticed that with or with out key present, engine starts with finger in key-hole.
  • Today, disassemble key/fob 2, clean all contact surface with isopropyl alcohol, Bend up 2032 battery terminals. RKE still fails.
  • Today, after hours of searching the internet and autozone for diagrams, pulled 16pin wire connector from Wireless Ignition node(WIN)(Key switch). Chime still 'dings' claiming key-in ignition, while keyswitch is still unplugged.
  • Plug 16pin plug back into Wireless Ignition Node, Chime changes to a stuttered chime, stops.
  • Close and reopen drivers door, key-in ignition chime still 'dings (w/o key).
  • No longer starts with finger in keyhole. Claims invalid key.
I think that once the key is integrated and authenticated, it holds onto the digital signature of the key until it is removed. That's why I believe I could still start the key with my finger and the key was nowhere in sight.
If this still starts after re-authenticating key, I will make a video.

Well that proved to make matters worse. Now the cluster reads key in igntion, damage key .

It will no longer start with the key. :-[
We are in a place now. It seems that un pulling the wireless igntion node has made matters worse.
