I don't understand this stupid assumption that a gas engine is not capable.
Problem seems to be with the people who have never owned one, and have no idea what it costs to lift the hood of a diesel. They have a purpose, they are good at what they do, but half them on the road are only purchased cause guys think its super cool to "roll coal".
A guy who drives a Chevy half ton clearly has no idea that a hemi can actually tow and haul quite well, unlike their beloved LS engines
