I also have no problem as I use them for what they are designed, safety in an accident. Hopefully my head will never touch them.

Knew I was going to hate mine when I bought the truck because they are the same design as my wife's Impala and I hate those, so the first thing I did was pull them out and flip them around. Now they lean backward as much as they used to lean forward but should still keep my head from hitting the back glass if someone rear ends me.

Default Headrests

My father bought a 2013 RAM in December and turned them around dut ot them bothering how he had his seat adjusted. Now, they probably aren't as functional as a headrest at this point.

The only time mine become an issue is on long trips, over a few hours. When it does become an issue after this long in the drivers seat it started bothering me quite badly, but I dint usually drive for that long, so I can live with it

Mine are also agrivating to say the least. It was like my head was always looking down a bit or it would brush the back of my head. Had to turn them around but I think my head would go to far back in a collision. I'll try changing the back ones and see what that does. But I may have to try and bend them a bit as a last resort

I'm 6"3". The top part of the headrest contacts me in the center of the back of my head when the headrest is all the way down. Not great but not bad either. It is interesting how much different the shape and angle of the front headrests are from the rear seat headrests.

The headrests looked great on my sport ram 1500. real "Race/ Sports Car" look.

However....they do bother. Especially when i wear my ball caps backwards (cuz im cool like that).

So.....i decided to just remove them COMPLETELY. Both rear and front seats.

Also because they obstructed my vision when looking through my rearview or looking over my shoulders to check my blind spots.

Now i have no issues. I guess only if i ever get rear ended, now i wont have whiplash protection. AW WELL.

Now instead of having sport car seats, it looks like it has the old school 1960s bench seats that trucks used to have without headrests. CLASSIC!!

Ill post some pics tomorrow.

move the rear ones to the front row, works just fine

Ford has done the same thing and our Flex h/rest were so annoying and I found headrests out of an 85 BMW fit perfectly and were adjustable for tilt as well, I see all kinds of Beemers on the road with the same head rest so there will be lots of them in the salvage yards. You have to cut the back of the seats open and break the white plastic retainer tubes with some small channel lock pliers but they are all you need to be safe.

the lawyers have gone berserk in the HR design by all automotive manufacturers it seems and the only solution is to either scour the Pick n Pull yards or put them in a vice
