Default Need Help

Hey guys cant really figure out how to post her im using s4 dont have a comp or laptop but I have an exhoust leak on my 05 4.7 ram where can I start after it gets warm I cant really hear it no more and my mpg is pretty bad it dont get any better then 14mpg on higway any suggestion also I think my I.a.c is bad I clean it but the code came back.help

ok what code exactly are you throwing? An o2 could possibly throw off your A/F ratio adding more air into the path of the O2. But we need some more info before you start throwing parts at it....Definatly fix that leak ASAP

Yes, yes! What TJ said! Get that exhaust leak fixed or you'll ruin your valves. The exhaust leak could be part of your mpg woes. And like TJ said, a bad 02 sensor could be the culprit also.

Hey guys thnx lots I luv my truck ever since I saw it for sale got to say I was lucky to get..but in a couple days the check engine turned on right now I have 3 the first one is
p0507 iac system revolutions per minute higher then expected
p0128 coolant thermostat temp below thermostat regulating temp
p0430 catalyst system efficiency below threshold bank 2
the p0507 turn on like 4 days ago I took it out and it was blck ha4d to clean I dunno if I should try again with gumout or buy a new one

Gumout wont do anything!

You need to fix the exhaust leak FIRST!!

the O2 sensors affect all of those codes you have. When you have an exhaust leak it will allow air to inter the exhaust system...causing the O2 sensors to mafuction (and the Cat) and will through off fuel trim causing everything that helps regulate idle and fuel to not fuction apprioprately. Thus the IAC code

Hey thanx for the advice...last nite I replace the autolite platinum spark plugs with the ngk copper ones and I notice a huge different not only on gas but in performance it self and the check engine went off...exited I erased the other codes and 5hey havent come out yet..a friend of mine said that I should replace the flange donut gasket but cant seem to find them at autozone...he said that the exhaust gasket look to be fine no leak there ..how do I throw the rep icon

Damn i wish i would of asked earlier about your plugs. Yeah those Autolite plugs are only good in Fords. Pretty much for future refeance for the sake of the thread, only Champion or NGK (the right models) will work good on these dodge trucks
