Default Stealership

I have owned this truck since Nov. 13 and had it in for another oil change. They tried to tell me that I should get a flush on the oil system to prevent any sludge from building up. I told I have been using Penzoil Platinum since day one from the dealership and if there is a sludge problem I think they might want to change oils that they are using.Unreal the service work they try to sell.

Did they write that down on the INVOICE that you signed when you paid the Bill for Service ??

Almost every can or jug of motor oil sold in today's market is loaded with detergent

as long as you don't get a blown head gasket or a valley pan gasket, no water can get into the oil, causing a flush to be needed

I have 123,500 miles on my engine & many others have many more miles on theirs & almost no one has had a Engine Oil Flush

I have had 2 throttle body cleanings, one at 60,000 miles & another at 120,000 miles
I drive across the blowing winds in the desert quite a bit & the air filter only catches about 85% of it
I had noticed quite a drop in MPG & it was indeed very dirty inside

surprised at what dealership service writers will try to Up sell, like Nitrogen in the tires.
I have not seen a tire rot from water while using regular air from a compressor, most tire shops have a air/water separator between the compressor & the air hose

Tires can only be stored/used for 5 years before the tire manufacturer says that they need to be replaced, after that the sidewalls MAY start cracking

I took mine in for the first oil change since I bought it the week before my wreck in February.
I bought it from the Ford dealer which is connected to the Dodge dealer.
Anyway, (I should of knew better to take it back for body work) when I called to schedule the change, the person on the phone said "well you know that we are a Ford shop and you have a Dodge." I said yes but when I bought it I was told to bring it in for a discount on my service.
They tell me that they will have to talk to the service manager and could I hold on.
He got on the phone, and I asked, do you do oil changes? "Yes we do."
Does it matter what type of vehicle?
"No sir it does not . We service all makes and models."
Well tell whoever answered the phone that so next time they know.

I have been in the auto industry my whole life, and I shake my head at people like this.

I never heard of an "oil system flush".

Neither have I, I wonder if it's like changing the blinker fluid or an
exhaust bearing
