Default Truck Ordering

So I have decided to upgrade my 2011 1500 Outdoorsmen to a 2014 2500 Longhorn. I want factory order this time as i'm tired of settling on missing some options so I can get others! I have never ordered before so am not sure how to go about it. Is there a factory order form somewhere online I can look at? I know I have to order through a dealer, but was hoping I could have enough info before I went to them. The Ram Build and Price on the web site is not that great.

Is the rear air suspension for the 2500/3500 available to order yet?

Thanks for the help!

Just ordered a 2014 Ram 1500 Crew Cab 5.7 bed fully loaded base was 43875.00 with options it came to 53870.00. Since this was the 2nd vehicle we ordered and 3rd vehicle we had purchased all cash the dealer showed us their cost of 49089.00 and asked how much over that are you willing to pay for the truck? Since we know the salesman pretty well and me being a bit of a smart ass I said 49500.00 he said its a deal, then said the powers that be said anything 300.00 or more over cost is what we would get it for. Plus when placing the order incentives in place military and an additional 1500.00 would come off of that, but if when we take delivery there are better incentives we would get the better of the two. So right now our price is 47500.00 before TT&L.

Hmm, maybe for an ordered truck that's a good deal, but on the higher end RAM's with a long list of options (such as yours) you should be able to get $10K off sticker, easy.

Agree you should be able to do better, I got 9K off of my Longhorn sticker and that was back in November (Custom Ordered) before all of the crazy incentives and promotions.

You probably don't want to hear this but you should be able to do much better (depending on the dealers in your area).
For reference on my deal, I got Invoice - 100% Holdback - $2,000. That is BEFORE subtracting the rebates I got.
With rebates, I was $11,127 under MSRP and I didn't even have great rebates available to me!

Obviously if the rebates increase between now and when I take delivery, I would pay less so here's to hoping!

US or Canadian: US
Zipcode of dealer: 78064 (Atascosa Dodge, Pleasanton, TX)
Purchase date: 10 January 2014

MSRP = $56,880
Invoice = $51,836
Holdback = $1671
*Holdback is calculated by subtracting the destination charge ($1195) from the MSRP and the multiplying the result by 3% (0.03).

Price Paid = $49,665 (Includes Free Full Tank of Gas at delivery)

Rebates Used: Currently locked $1500 Consumer Cash, $1000 Ram Truck Bonus Cash, $1000 USAA
Price w/ Current Incentives: $46,165
Dealer Doc Fees:$125

Hi Blackhawk13,

I read with great interest all of the posts and advice you offered to others when you purchased your truck earlier this year. I have been researching and saving for the past year, and hope to place an order this week.

I am a member of USAA and so far, using their program seems to be the best pricing I am able to get. I have found a dealer that will give me invoice and 1/2 of the holdback, but no more.

I was very impressed that you were able to get all of the holdback, and then some. Would you mind sharing a copy of the email you used when you sent your initial inquiry to the 10 dealers in your area. I have tested the waters with 2 dealers that I'm not really interested in. I was using them as practice. I hope to send out a serious inquiry to 4 or 5 others dealers by email early this week, but I'm not sure how to craft my message. That's why I would really appreciate reading the message you sent.

Congratulations on your purchase, and thank you for any advice you can share.

Kind regards,
Tom

Thanks to everyone who has posted their price(s) and such. But I'd like some advice. Not sure if there is anyone out there in the North Florida area, but I am looking at a 2014 1500 Express Crew Cab - nothing too fancy with the options. MSRP comes out to about $38175 (5.0 Radio, 8 Speed Trans, Spray in liner, Rearview Camera) with "Invoice" of $35234. I haven't seen too many people buying Express' listing their OTD pricing and such, so trying to figure out if $30800 + TTT would be a good price or is there more meat on the bone. Thanks in advance for all the advice

Just pulled the trigger on a 2014 Laramie fully loaded with a MSRP of $65295, My price pre-taxes and fees is $50576. It's handy the wife works for the group that owns the dealership. So factor in taxes, fees and other stuff my OTD price including cost of borrowing is $60035.92

That's not bad. What do you have figured in there for rebates (how much)?

$3500 ($2000 Crew Cab Retail, $1000 Truck Gas Engine, $500 Express Crew Cab Bonus) - trying to figure out if I can use the $1000 USAA as my wife is a member of USAA (I am attached to her USAA account so not sure how that works and if she'd have to be on the car title and all to get the rebate) so that would be an extra $1000 off that price.
