My local dealer is not willing to play ball. Showed me invoice today +$500 - $1,500 rebate.
I asked him what the extra $500 was and he told me it was their profit. At that point I mentioned they did not account for holdback in what they were claiming was their profit. When I pointed out I had a control number for Friends and Family pricing and they were not allowed to charge me more than that, the sales manager said he would do that once I provided the control number since "Chrysler would reimburse them for the difference". Does anyone know if that is really how it works? Does Chrysler actually give the dealer back money if FFP is used?

So by not pulling the trigger before January 2nd how bad am I going to suffer price wise on a new 1500 Longhorn? Are dealers going to flat out refuse to give me a break on 2014's now that the Big Finish is over with? I am waiting on info from dealers and haven't moved into the "purchase ready" part of my research yet. Dealers are all over me via text and email until I ask them to email me pricing out the door. It's been crickets after that part. I need to know the out the door price before I move any further.

In the past years,my local dealer anyway, called January as TRUCK MONTH. They have offered the best deals in that month. They ordered my truck to be picked up in January,
but I could not wait and picked it up a couple of weeks early. If you are using the truck as a tax write off,December would be your best time. If not,I would not worry too much. They
will offer good deals this month!

Default Hmmm...

k So I Bought a Ford 2wd truck in march of 2013. Got sick of the 2 wheel drive (stuck in places where I shouldn't have been stuck). Dodge called right before christmas asked if I wanted a truck. I said Sure lol.
Went in they payed me 27800 for the Ford I owed 27800 on.
MSRP for the ford was 26000. They bought out the Ford completely and gave me 1500 off msrp for a ram 1500 outdoorsman fully loaded with leather. The only thing it doesn't have is the centre console. MSRP for the Ram 48999 final statement after taxes 51500 with 1500 in rebates.
Do you guys think I got ripped off? From what I've been reading its roughy 8500 in fluxuation with the price and 1500 in incentives. I see the Ford being worth around 20000. so 8700 towards the ford then the 1500 to me off the price.
Just Waiting on delivery.
... I guess you could say I'm nervous about the numbers lol But so stoked about the truck!

Cheers

Sticker on my Express Crew Cab was $40,570. Dealer came down to $36400. Then wound up with $3500 in rebates. This did not include taxes or doc fees. And 50% extended warranty. No trade.
