Default 33's to 35's ??

I have a 07 sport with 3.92 gears and im running 295/55-20 Trail Grapplers and I will be needing new tires in the spring. My fuel mileage blows with trail grapplers I get around 11.5 in my daily driving and towing its worse.. Im looking at Cooper ST maxx in 35's or 295/60-20 Nitto terra grapplers. im hoping that my mileage will be around the same because of weight and rolling resistance will be less with all-terrains. heck the trail graps weight 83lbs a piece and 295/60-20 terra graps weight 58lbs a piece.. just wondering if my thinking is right and also if I can clear 35's I have a rough country 2.5 level and 1.75 rear lift. Here's a couple pics of the truck. Im also running a AFE intake, Edge tuner set on fuel eco and dual exhaust. thanks

From what I've seen on the forum you should be able to clear 35's without a problem. People are clearing them with only the front lift done and not touching the rear. Also, what offset are you running on your wheels? Looks to be at least a 1 if not a -12. Also if you like the looks of an aggressive tire but want to run an all terrain I'd look at toyo at II extremes. they have a 60k warranty but still have aggressive side walls similar to an mt. The regular toyo all terrains aren't that special but the extreme version look much nicer!

sweet looking truck!

i got the 295/65/20 trail grapps and no issues with rub anywhere but i am slightly higher than just a level. i'd say keep the trail grapplers and get em in 295/65/20=35.5" tall and swap the gears to 4.10's!!!

thats what i am gonna do in the next month or so. it will take care of the gas issue and the sluggishness from a take-off.

Read the thread I have posted in My sig which I put "Any Leveling/offset questions?". The most common problem with running 35's isn't the height.. it's the width and the offset for turning clearance.

you're right...my bad

thats the reason why i went with 295/65/20's instead of 35's. i wouldnt have the clearance needed with the CST spindles i use up front with the 12.5 wide. The 295's are 11.6 and i have literally a 1/3" between spindle and sidewall. if i went with a non aggresive side wall tire i could probably pull it off but love the look so it works for me. i stand corrected.

ya I'm not going to change gears.. mostly because of the cost. I like the trail grapplers but will not buy them again. the wheels are 20x9 I cant remember the offset and all that.. the tire stick out about a inch to inch and half..im looking for something quiet on wont hurt my mileage any more. I looked at at2's but they are pretty heavy. the nitto's are the least heavy on the bunch.

I have heard the Toyo open country AT2's are some great all terrain tire. How big is the difference in between the nitto's and toyo's.. Most of their tires are identical because from what i have heard they are the same company lol.
