Default Sport with fender flares

I'm debating on putting flares on my truck and cant decide between pocket style or smooth. Does anyone have a picture of a sport with the stock sport wheels and flares? This is what the truck looks like now, Bilsteins 2.8 & 1" rear spacer, 35 Gladiator X-Comps.

That thread has a pic of stock rims and pocket flares on a sport.

How well do the 35s fit on your stock rims? Did you have to do any trimming? Are you running a wheel adapter or spacer?

The pocket style are more flashy while the smooth are more subtle. Also, the pocket flares stick out 2-2.5" while the smooth only stick out about an inch. So it really comes down to what kind of look you're going for and how much you want them to stick out!

I had the same choice as I have a sport and I like my stock sport blacked out rims. I put on 285/85R20 and they don't really stick out so I didn't end up getting any flares, but I'd love to have some in the future if I get aftermarket rims or bigger tires!

I did not have to trim anything for the 35's to fit. They do rub at full lock and you might be able to fit a sheet of paper between the sidewall and the upper control arm. I do not have spacers yet but I just ordered a set of 10mm spacers from motorsport-tech just to be safe.

I'm having the same issue, can't decide what flare to go with, my front tires stick out a bit and it's causing paint chipping on the fender lip, I don't like the oem flares on a sport, but the bushwacker pockets would make my tires look tucked in. My current set up, 5100 bilstein set to 2.8, hankook dynapro A/T 305/55R20 stock rim. I fear that if I get the pocket style bushwackers that I will end up having to get different rims with more offset to match the flares.

smooth bushwackers

when they shipped mine, there was an extra section that would be used if you had the other style bumper

I agree, you're in between. For pocket flares you'd need wider offset wheels or a wheel spacer adapter to look right.

I also agree that on the sport, the pocket flares look much better than the OEM.
