I hope someone can help me.
I downloaded from the Megaupload link. got the right file.
Copied it to my USB stick.
On the stick it shows 4 folders (bin, etc, lib, usr) and a document (I think) called Manifest.
In the truck, I waited for everything to shut off and then plugged in the usb stick and turned ignition to run.
My radio started to flash a series of messages- recog_successful, recog_fail, incomingCallDefau...,error, start, start phone- over and over.
The speakers were also making dinging noises each time the message on the screen changed.
Any ideas?

There should only be one file on the memory stick, swdl.iso. Just copy and paste the file you downloaded from mega to a blank memory stick..

Somehow you extracted the .iso to the memory stick, it will not work like that.

Well, all I did was copy what was downloaded to the memory stick, I didn't do any extracting.
It's all good tho, I was able to get the download from the UConnect site and do ot their way. Went very smooth. Felt kind of silly with all the door opening and closing but it worked.
Thanks for the response.

The files from the megaupload links are already extracted, you just transfer it to the USB drive. Only if you download from the uConnect site the files have to be extracted.

Installed the update yesterday morning it worked not quite the way i would have expected, too many periods of black screens and sitting with a screen with a one line message requesting that I insert the usb flash drive when it was already inserted. In the end all things appear to have updated and there does not appear that I have lost anything, yet.

Are you inserting the flash drive into the proper USB port? The one that has the cover that opens and closes won't work because it is only for charging...the USB port under the SD card slot must be used.
