If you don't want to just do it yourself (you can get the flash update yourself, stick it on a thumb drive which you place into the truck's drive and the update will run for you), I would call Uconnect customer service and explain your issue and what the dealer told you. Or if it works, just dial them through your truck under the "assist" setting.
I just got off the phone with uconnect and they told me that my truck does need the disc. They will send it to me in about 3 weeks or I an go online and just download it to a jump drive, which I did. Haven't had a chance to upload it yet, but will do so after work.

As long as the VIN owner's Ram is has the same radio it should work. I hope that you didn't take their last update option away from them though. You only get so many before Uconnect locks you out.

So one thing that my radio did when I first got my truck was turn HD Radio off everytime I restarted the truck. 13.19 fixed that, and it defaults to HD Radio all the time now, which I think is good. It looks like this "fix" now turns HD off by default?

HD now defaults to 'OFF' for reduced complaints about 'channel switching'.

Can anyone verify if this is true with the update? Why don't they just make this an option so the user can choose?

Thanks,
Mike

Default Vic not showing engine vitals

All went well with the update, no errors. The volume was lower on huge radio and media than before and I discovered the equalizer reset itself to factory, after making the adjustments the sound is good again.

Following the update I can no longer look at my engine and transmission temps. Am I alone?

I feel stupid, I found the setting I was missing. My evic was set on tire pressure screen. I just needed to scroll back to engine vitals.

It now seems stable if I don't go into the audio controls. If I leave it alone everything is fine, but as soon as I go to the audio page it changes the balance/fade.
I had the dealership reload the update and my fade/balance continues to reset after each ignition cycle. Can someone please see if you're having the same issue that Kendo and I are experiencing? Otherwise, everything else seems to be functioning properly...

Oh, and like others reported- the volume w/the CD is much louder than the radio.

Lastly, my heated seats and steering wheel do not come on w/the remote start. I have the feature enabled... I remember reading somewhere that the outside temp has the be <40 degrees. Does this seem correct?

Thanks!

-40?!?!? That doesn't seem normal at all. The only people who'd ever be able to use it would be people in North Canada and inland Alaska.

It's 40F or lower for the auto heat to turn on and 80F or higher for the auto cool to come on.
