Default Large passenger side backseat wont lift up

Subject pretty much says it all. The seat bottom comes up about 3 inches, then freezes solid. I have looked everywhere for an obstruction. Any ideas?

Sounds like you have a bad hinge. How much pressure/force have you used?

04 diesel same problem raise shorter seat then you will have access to hinge on larger seat there is a little counter weight that you can move at the same time as you lift the seat you will need a small screwdriver. I used a small amount of wd 40 and it seems ok.
