I know nothing about these and was wondering if something is wrong with the filter. I don't want to return to my OEM as I love the sound from the K&N.
Sounds like you're suffering from what's known as "happy sound syndrome". it's common among motorheads and often results in a heavy foot
. if you're enjoying the sound as much as anyone else, it's expected, your MPG's will drop a little (I know mine did) just from hearing the motor growl. Check your filter to make sure it's secured, as there's been a few cases, myself included, where the filter can come off of the tube itself. my advice: you bought a ram...not a prius. try to ease up a smidge on acceleration, or bring your cruise speed down a few miles an hour if you're really concerned about it. hope this helps
