Default Xpel Paint Protection

Anybody do Xpel paint protection on their painted front ends? I thought about it after I got the truck and decided to pass but now ten months later I have found a couple chips on the front end and with a couple long road trips planned for the summer I want to get it protected to prevent any further damage. I have an appointment Saturday to get the bumper, grill, and headlights done, also going to have them do the lower rocker panels below the doors. Anything I need to look out for? I think I have found a pretty reputable installer for my area. Will the expel be very noticeable on black?

I had my entire last truck wrapped in Xpel. Its great stuff. You may want to get a bit behind the wheels since rocks tend to fly up once in a while.

My old truck was a Laramie Longhorn in Western Brown, the Xpel was pretty much not noticeable at all, other then a couple of very tiny bubbles. You probably should get your paint corrected before you get the Xpel done, or else you'll have contaminants under the film. Xpel doesn't yellow like the 3M stuff does, and it self heals, so its great.

So the material its made out of will level it self again when it has been scratched. It will level itself in normal sun light, or by hot water or a dryer.

Check this video out. Its not a gimmick or anything. I've used this product and purposely keyed my truck with xpel applied, it will literally disappear by any sort of heat.

I had the whole front end including the grille and hood, A-pillar and top of roof done. I had a bug deflector on there before and it made too much noise/wind buffering.

Love mine. I have 2 small little places it didn't stick right that they will fix when it warms up a bit.

Love mine. You can't see it on the black and just barely see it on the white.

Got it put on yesterday, did a good job and you can't even see it. I may take it back and get the mirrors and font on the roof done. If your in SW Ohio I would recommend Clear Bra of Ohio.

I paid about $900, they had it for 2 days and it has lifetime warranty. Always more expensive in Canada.

I paid $750, it think that's about right from checking around. Well worth it if your picky about your paint and make sure to get the headlights done. I know the projector lights on my sport are close to $1000 to replace.

Damn that's pretty cheap. I paid right around $7000 for a stage 2 paint correction, huper optiks tint, full clear bra, and modesta coating over the clear bra, wheels and exhaust tip.

Did you do any paint correction prior to the install to get rid of any swirls?
